  • Paraffin content of 11%
  • Asphaltenes content of 4%

 

Results:

  • 100% increase in production leveling off to 50%
  • The water cut in the oil that was produced was reduced by 95%

Heavy Crude Oil Production

  • Challenge:
  • Highly viscous, extra heavy crude oil creating flow challenges.
     

Crude:

  • API gravity of 7o to 8o
  • Viscosity: 115,000 to 120,000 Cps@ 40o C

 

 

 

 

Process:

  • Downhole injection and/or applied in conjunction with steam injection, as well as injection into pipelines and flow stations

Results:

  • API gravity increased to 17o
  • Viscosity reduction of 60%
  •
